Thank You

What I’ve come to learn from Torah is that possibly the two most important words in a relationship is “thank you”. Rooted in the heart of every human is not only a desire to be wanted but a need to be needed. We all need to be, to supremely feel, that someone out there desires us, needs us, and could not bear nor dare to live without us. With all the problems man has with man, man cannot live without man.

And so when you say thank you to someone, you not only recognize them as source of beauty and goodness, but in a way you say I need you, that you are not dispensable nor replaceable, and that my life is better because of you.
