Once upon a time there was
A Violin and Cello
Each didn’t like the other
They wanted to play solo
They clashed like purple and yellow
The violin was high pitched
The cello was more mellow
When each heard the other
They became bothered
Why do you not sound like me
Yet make a sound that is another
It was an irony to see
There were two instruments
Yet there was no harmony
One day the violin came to the cello
And he said hello
Why such anger
You and I can be fellows
You be you and I be I
Your pitch is low and mine is high
Let’s come together and make music
That can make people happy, sing or lose it
For me without you and you without me
Have no symphony
But if we combine Individually
We can provide multiple perspectives of reality
Together we can create the most beautiful melody
From that day on
The Violin and Cello
Stopped feeling threatened
And became the best of fellows
Alone they were just a sound
But together they were a symphony
A blend of new individuality
That would astound
