At the beginning of the 20th century, Christians comprised 20% of the population in the Middle East. Today, they comprise 4% of the population. That’s actually the definition of ethnic cleansing.
And to be totally transparent, Israel is actually guilty of committing ethnic cleansing at one point in its history. In 2005 the Israeli Government removed 21 Jewish settlements in the Gaza Strip, removing every Jewish person.
You would never know that if you read the news. This is why the entire media establishment and many of the varied “human-rights” organizations are distrusted. And this is why when you look at some stats, it shows a nation and a world disillusioned and cynical.
Trust is the basis of relationships and also a healthy society. Remove that and that’s the beginning of wild conspiracy theories, recriminations, viewing each other with the worst intentions. And that’s precisely what we are all experiencing.
